Who may want to moderate their consumption of tumeric? (5 min. 26 sec. video)

I recently posted a brief video by Dr. Michael Greger (nutritionfacts.org) on how to boost the bio-availability of one of the best anti-inflammatory herbs in the world–tumeric (which contains the anti-inflammatory phyto-nutrient curcumen). According to Dr. Keith Block–who has dealt with advanced cancers over 32 years–science has shown that chronic inflammation is a biochemical condition in the body that can encourage cancer growth and spread.

But just because a supplement is “natural” or comes from plants that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s safe or safe for all people equally. According to Dr. Greger, people who have gallstones, kidney stones or are pregnant may want to moderate their use of tumeric for the reasons he mentions here.
