Amla vs. cancer cell growth (2 min. 49 sec. video)

Scientific studies have shown Indian gooseberries (also known as amla) to have so many benefits that Dr. Michael Greger nicknames the fruit “the kitchen sink” of berry nutrition, It’s an important plant in centuries oild Indian Ayurvedic medicine, and may have anti-cancer properties, as well as cough-, fever-, pain-, stress-, and diarrhea-suppressing effects.

I live on the tropical island of Guam, which has a similar climate to most of India but I’ve never tasted much less even heard of Indian gooseberries or amla. I would have guessed that something this beneficial would have somehow found its way to our island by now.

Dr. Greger has produced another video I posted earlier in which he lists powdered amla in an antioxident rich morning smoothie he sometimes makes. He says the powder can be bought at some well stocked health-food stores (like Whole Foods maybe). Of course these days almost anything can be bought on the internet.
