Dr. Michael Greger talks about Insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) which is a natural human growth hormone instrumental in normal growth during childhood; unfortunately if levels of it are too high in adulthood it can promote abnormal growth—like the proliferation, spread (metastasis), and invasion of cancer.
